A bit of background
Diego recently turned 16 after a year of racing in the Junior X30 category. These karts reach speeds of up to 80mph and are a known starting point for professional racing drivers.
Racing for over a year, Diego consistently impresses with his fast lap times, ability to overtake the field and his attitude and popularity in the pits.
He’s also a demon in the wet.
His passion for motorsport is evident and his long-term aim is to work within the motorsport industry, however, this desire runs into driving as well.
Diego is fully aware that to progress to the next level, he needs support and backing from partners.
Diego has been having 1 to 1 lessons at the well regarded Silverstone Rally School and is now ready to work towards his FIA licence. The plan is to compete in rounds of the Junior 1000 Rally Championship later this year.
THE FUTURE
Diego’s ambitions are as big as his talent and he has his sights firmly set on moving into a car motorsport series. Despite experience coming from the track, Diego has shown natural talent behind the wheel of a rally car…
…the next step is the Junior 1000 Rally Championship, a series for under 17s and all cars are 1000cc.
His ambitions however, don’t stop there.
